Dalek-related post 2 of 2. Fun with sound design!

I took a little time to make myself a Dalek voice preset in Logic, just for fun. For the nerds, this uses a ring modulator, and the frequency is 109 hz, in case you want to try it yourself. The other effects are a 2 band EQ acting as a high pass and low pass (makes it sound “narrow”) and some distortion to dirty it up. Settings will vary according to voice type.
I wish my voice was a little more similar to the Dalek voice actors’, I really had to strain to imitate the Dalek’s inflections and pitch. This clip isn’t perfect, and I blame my voice.
The album cover is more fruit of my labor, photoshopping out Scumbag Steve’s Scumbag Sleeves was a chore.
